Intensive Program
STEP:
Skills Training and Exposure Program for OCD
Jumpstart Your Recovery with 8 Weeks of Intensive ERP Treatment
STEP is an 8 week intensive program, structured approach to OCD treatment designed to provide more frequent support and more opportunities to practice new skills than traditional weekly therapy. Meeting 2–3 times per week, the program compresses months of OCD education, skills training, treatment planning, and exposure therapy into eight focused weeks. The goal is to accelerate your progress through therapy while maintaining a manageable pace that allows you to build skills, gain confidence, and create momentum without feeling overwhelmed. The program is ideal for those who want to jumpstart their progress, prefer a structured treatment model, or want to work toward meaningful change within a defined timeframe.
STEP In a Nutshell
More Sessions for
More Practice and Progress
With 2 sessions each week, you’ll have more opportunities to learn new skills, get hands on guidance, and put them into practice. We'll spend less time talking about what you could do each week, and more time actually doing it, building healthier habits right there in session.
Coached
Exposure Sessions
Exposure helps you learn that you can face anxiety without relying on avoidance or compulsions. Just like climbing a ladder, we’ll take small, manageable steps up your exposure plan. With each step, you’ll practice facing fears without engaging in compulsions and learn new ways to respond to triggers.
Personalized Treatment Plan
and Resource Guide
Together, we’ll create a personalized ERP treatment plan based on your specific symptoms, triggers, and goals. You’ll receive a tailored exposure plan, between-session practice assignments, and a customized resource guide to support your progress throughout treatment.
Collaboration with
Family and Providers
OCD can affect the whole family, and loved ones may be unsure how to help without unintentionally reinforcing OCD. Loved ones can join 1–2 sessions to learn about OCD and receive guidance on how to support your treatment and reduce accommodations.
Practical Skills
to Break the OCD Cycle
Learn practical skills to recognize OCD, reduce compulsions and rumination, and respond differently to intrusive thoughts and anxiety. You’ll learn how to resist rituals, tolerate uncertainty, and break the OCD cycle while building confidence in your ability to face discomfort.
Recovery
Management Plan
Develop a personalized plan to maintain the progress you’ve made and continue building on your skills after treatment. You’ll identify strategies for responding to setbacks, managing future OCD symptoms, and staying engaged in the activities and values that matter most.
